The Commission Process
Size
First thing is to decide the best size for your custom painting. At this time I am only accepting commission for sizes 16”x20” and larger. If you are unsure of the perfect size for your space, I’m happy to help you decide!
Inspiration
Do you have a reference photo, a specific landscape/location you would like me to work from, or perhaps one of my previous painting/style? Your favorite color palette? Where would this painting be displayed? If you aren't sure exactly what you want yet, that's okay! I will help you figure out what would work best.
Sketch
I create 2-3 mockup sketches on paper based on the color palette and composition. The painting will be based on the one you approve.
Pricing
My prices for commissioned pieces start at about $1000 plus shipping, and run about 15% more than available paintings. This is to account for the time spent to collaboratively create a perfect piece that meets all of your wishes. I ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit to begin, with the remaining balance plus shipping, due once your painting is complete.
